DEBEBE AND TEMESGEN LAW OFFICE is a professional partnership based in Addis Ababa and established in 2008 by two former Federal High Court Judges, Debebe Hailegebriel and Temesgen G/Selassie. In recent years, Debebe has turned his focus to the media where he runs a weekly 30 minute show called Chilot on Ethiopian national TV playing the role of a judge in adjudicating real life or hypothetical cases brought to the court room. The show has been running for more than two years now and has gained the acceptance of government institutions, national and international organizations for being instrumental in increasing public legal awareness and the right to access to justice.
